I think Mayah is on US time. She likes to sleep during the day and party during the night. Here she is this morning.. She was tired after having her breakfast. This is her first bow. We were happy she didn't fight it and try to take it off.
The grounds at the painter's museum has some interesting signs. If you can't read it, it says, "No dabbing and swimming, or you take the consequences."
Here was the other unique sign. Can anyone explain this one? It says, "Danger: Deep water, not water."
We were all baffled by this one.
One of the many buildings on the grounds.
Nanchang's version of an Abt Electronics delivery truck.
We tried to be creative after living with a baby for a week (almost) in a hotel. The chair in the room, with pillows to lock her in and a bunch of toys keeps her entertained.... if only it is for a little while! Our version of a highchair for a while.
She is a little fighter.. She has finally gone down to sleep as I write this. It is only 1 hour and 45 minutes past her bedtime. Not too bad. Definitely better than last night.
I will try and write something tomorrow, or at least post a few picks, since nothing is on the docket. We need to pack tomorrow as we head to Guangzhou on Saturday. It should be interesting finding room in our already tightly packed bags for all of the stuff we have purchased while in Nanchang and the couple of gifts we have received... of course since we are in Nanchang, home to high quality porcelain, the gifts received are porcelain and therefore breakable. It will be fun to try and get those things home in one piece!
Ok so you have to post at least one new picture tomorrow. I start each morning with my Mayah fix. Reading about your experiences has been amazing! Tell Mirzi that I sent her an email on the day you received Mayah. xoxox
ReplyDeleteI have a son teaching english in Nanchang --he thinks it is an amazing place. We have adopted 4 from China and know the experience you are having is AMAZING! Sheila Temple
