Day 12

Good evening from Guangzhou, China.   Today was a nice day here.  Upper 60's and sunny.  Today Mayah had her physical exam, and she passed with flying colors.  After that was completed, it was a day to relax and walk around.   We prepared for our US Embassy meeting and made sure our documents are in order and ready to go.   Miriam went and had a "foot" massage here, which is basically a full body massage for 70 minutes.  It cost 88 Yuan, or $14.  Gotta love that.  I am going to get one tomorrow!!!!   Dinner was interesting tonight.  The food was really good.  When you walk in, there are a lot of FRESH food right there.   You can pick your dinner before being seated.  There was all kinds of fish, crab, lobster, you know, the usual..  But then there was water beetles, mud snakes, eels, other kinds of snakes, fried pigeons, and ducks.  The cute little ducks were just walking around in their cage.  Poor little guys had no idea they were about to become dinner for someone.  So sad.   Oh, we had normal Chinese food.

Mayah and daddy watching the Bears game via skype at 6am!  The Bears gave it away.  Not the way I wanted to start my day.

The room set aside at the clinic for adopted children exams.

Mayah's exam.  She was very curious and wanted to grab everything in site.
Another view of a street here on Shaiman Island.  We love this place.

There are statues everywhere here.  We thought this one was very interesting.  It shows the evolution of fashion of the Chinese woman.

Water Beetle anyone?

If water beetle is not for you.  How about snake!

Mayah having some rice on chopsticks.  She knew exactly how to use them.  You would think she is Chinese or something.  LOL.

Too cute for words.  She had rice all over her face!
