Day 10 - travel day

Today we all jumped on the plane and headed for Guangzhou.   It was a short flight, a little over an hour and Mayah did great!   Never cried.  She even fell asleep for the landing (the last 20 minuted of the flight).   We are in an area called Shaiman Island (or something like that)  It is pretty small, you can walk around it in about 20 minutes of so.  But it is awesome.   It doesn't feel like we are in China anymore.  It was a French and British territory, so it feels like an old European Resort community.   Lots of very cool architecture, playgrounds, gardens.   When we arrived, we walked around quickly just to get a feel.  We saw 3 brides taking photos, and about 3 or 4 model photo shoots going on.  It is a very cool place.  We are looking forward to spending the week here.   The area provided many great shopping and dining opportunities.   So the only scheduled adoption related things going on this week are the medical exam on Monday and the US Embassy appointment on Friday to get Mayah's US Visa.   Otherwise, it is enjoy our time with Mayah, see what the island has to offer and do a little sightseeing in the area.   I know one day we are going to the Zoo/Safari they have here.   So we will get to see Pandas.  Can't come to China and not see pandas... right!   Here are some Mayah photos for you!

Mayah's first stoller ride!  The hotel has stollers we can use.  She faught it right at first when we put her in it, and then as soon as she was strapped in and we started to move she realized it wasn't so bad.  You can see the results after about 10 minutes of walking around.
